Imagine owning a piece of Disney history. Collector Joel MaGee doesn’t have to imagine. He owns the largest private collection of Disney parks memorabilia in the world! His impressive Disneyland collection includes posters, tickets, ear hats, vintage toys and larger items like ride vehicles, cast member costumes and props from rides at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Yesterday, I had the chance to see the Joel MaGee Disneyland Collection, and if you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, you can see it in person too! This impressive collection that is estimated to be worth millions of dollars is currently on display at Burbank Town Center (the Burbank mall) in Burbank, California. It is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm, and it is completely free to view.
If you want to see this amazing Disney collection in person though, you need to hurry! The last day it is open to the public is on July 16, 2023. The entire collection that is on display will be auctioned off from July 17th through July 19th.
If you don’t live in the L.A. area but want to see this collection for yourself, no worries. I took a lot of pictures and made a video about the collection. I’m pretty sure I captured every single thing that is going to be for sale.
The collection is quite impressive, and it’s a little mind boggling thinking about owning things like ride vehicles from rides including Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Dumbo. The collection also includes props from rides and attractions like the Haunted Mansion, It’s a Small World, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Tiki Room, Indiana Jones and so much more!
Watch my video below to see this amazing collection for yourself.
If you were going to bid on something in the Joel MaGee Disneyland Collection, what would you bid on? If you were going to own a ride vehicle, which one would you want to own?
