celebrities crash universal studios hollywood sign

While Universal Studios Hollywood is much smaller than the Orlando theme park, it has some major perks. One of them is that the theme park is located right next to a working movie studio backlot. That means that you’re more likely to see celebrities walking around the actual park or even at work on the backlot if you take the Studio Tour from the theme park.

Side note: The Studio Tour is my favorite park of the entire theme park. A tram takes you around the backlot, and the tour shows you filming locations as well as taking you through attractions made just for the tour, like King Kong 360 3-D, and Fast & Furious – Supercharged. Each time you take the tour, it will probably be a slightly different experience due to the filming schedule on the backlot, and you never know who or what you might see!

There have also been times celebrities were spotted at the actual theme park. For example, last summer Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were spotted there with their kids.

What other celebrities have visited the theme park or been spotted on the backlot? Universal wanted to know too. They asked their fans, and the comments did not disappoint.

In a post on Twitter, Universal Studios Hollywood asked, “Celebs you’ve seen at Universal. GO!”

One person commented with a video of Vin Diesel taken from the Studio Tour.

One employee commented without name dropping. Basically, there were too many names to mention.

Another guest commented and did name drop.

Then there are the comments where guests share which characters they’ve seen walking about the park, like Doc Brown and Optimus Prime. Uh, we don’t think that was the point of the post, but it’s still good to know for people who are looking for photo ops with characters instead of a true celeb sighting.

Have you ever seen a celebrity at Universal Studios Hollywood?
