Some people never get to visit Disneyland. Other people only visit Disneyland once or twice. Then there are people who are lucky enough to visit fairly often. They either live close enough or love the parks enough that they travel to Anaheim regularly to visit the theme parks every year or multiple times a year. Visiting Disneyland for some people is quite common, but for one man, it became unusually common.

One man decided to visit Disneyland every day. It started kind of by accident, but he ended up earning a Guinness World Record.

Back in 2012, Jeff Reitz was unemployed. He had a lot of free time, but he ended up finding a way to fill his days – trips to Disneyland. He was given an annual pass to Disneyland, so he decided to visit the parks every single day for as many days as possible. He ended up making it an entire year visiting Disneyland every single day, but he didn’t stop there.

Even after getting a job, Reitz continued to visit Disneyland every day. He only lives 20 minutes away, and his annual pass included free parking. That meant it was fairly easy and inexpensive for him to stop by the parks before or after work.

Eventually, Reitz made a goal – visiting Disneyland every single day for 3000 days in a row. He came really close to meeting his goal, but then the pandemic happened and Disneyland closed for over a year.

Before Disneyland closed due to COVID-19, Reitz visited the theme park 2,995 days in a row. He was just 5 days short of meeting his goal, but his record was enough to earn him a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive trips to Disneyland.

Reitz has yet to return to Disneyland since it reopened, but he plans to visit soon. A lot of things have changed since his last visit more than 3 years ago, and he knows that even though he used to be a Disneyland regular, the parks may feel unfamiliar to him now. After all, Genie+ is new, Toontown has been redone, there’s a new land at the Disney California Adventure Park, and there are many more changes to come, like retheming Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and retheming part of the Disney California Adventure Park to San Fransokyo.

Reitz talked to CNN about his record-winning trips to Disneyland. He knows some people probably can’t understand how he could visit so many days in a row. For starters, some people think that would cost too much, but it actually only cost $1400 for an annul pass with free parking and no blackout dates at the time. Other people might think he’d get bored visiting Disneyland so often, but he explains that he mixed up what he did when he was there. Some days were about rides. Other days were focused on enjoying ambiance. No matter what he did, he took pictures and shared them on social media.

If you have never visited Disneyland, it is a good idea to download the Disneyland app and familiarize yourself with the parks before you arrive. Watch the video below for an easy way to familiarize yourself with Disneyland before you arrive.
